Logic Puzzles
Something a little different this month
This month I've given you some problems that are a little less wordy and a little more logical.

Best of luck with them.

Jack Fruggle loved to set his friends riddles. Here's one that wasn't included in his treasure hunt: How can you add four to six and get eleven?

On the Glasstap Village race track, Athlete Pete can run round it in six minutes whilst his competitor, Joe Slow, can run round it in four minutes. At this rate, how many minutes will it take until Joe and Pete are running side by side?

Professor Warmkote took Mrs Hinckelbottom on a romantic drive. He drove at a constant rate of 9 miles per hour until he realised that he'd forgotten to put any fuel in the car. They had to walk back (at an average rate of 3 miles an hour) and were back 8 hours after setting off from home. How far did they drive?

If the eldest Miss Warmkote gives her 3 sisters 169 apples to share in the ratios of 1 half, 1 third and 1 quarter, how many apples did each receive?
