Pirates' Challenge -
Coming Soon
It's been a long time coming and has needed a full re-write after we weren't entirely happy with its first test run, but we're almost ready to launch our latest teambuilding game, Pirates' Challenge. This is a fantastic exercise for those of you who have been asking for something that tests Influence and Persuasion skills.

Participants work in teams with each team representing a different pirate gang. Each team needs to accumulate wealth and the most obvious route to this is through building a new ship to replace their lost vessel, so that they can return to their pirating ways.

The team that accumulates the greatest wealth is the winning team. This means that although teams rely on each other to build wealth, they must each try to come out of the negotiations slightly better off than their opponents. They will also need to make sure they deliver on promises they make to other teams.

It's a lot of fun that will require excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, a large smattering of communication, teamwork and time management, and perhaps a little cunning and guile too!

Our Christmas Competition Winners
Congratulations to Les Gabriel who won our first prize in this year's Christmas Competition. Les correctly identified that the missing dwarf was Bashful and that his hat was green.

The prize was a £150 hamper from Trainers' Library members, Fortnum & Mason.

The two runners up, both winning a £75 Fortnum & Mason's hamper, are Vivenne Robinson and Martin Lay.

Well done all of you.

 
Prices Rise!
As usual we have increased the annual subscription to Trainers' Library this year. The yearly fee is now £280 for an individual membership so our current members are saving even more due to our no price rise guarantee.
