This is an email from one of our Australian
members...
Hi to all our Trainers and Public Speakers,
I am collecting stories from trainers and presenters highlighting
some of their interesting, amusing or embarrassing experiences
whilst 'on the job'. You know - those moments when you
wish the ground would just open up - or - you laughed so
hard you thought you would pee your pants - or, maybe -
an emotional moment that brought you almost to tears.
No one has attempted to bring trainers wisdom and wit together
before so our day has come - be in it guys! Get those
fingers tapping and send your stories off to me at the e-mail
address below.
These stories will be sorted (according to type), collated
and published in a book that will have your name and details
in it. Conversely, if you wish to remain anonymous, that's
OK too. All contributors will receive a free copy of
the published book.
Trainers and Presenters are the most motivated, action orientated
people I know so I look forward to my IN box
spilling over during the next few days:-) Also,
if you have friends and colleagues who are also 'in the profession',
please forward this on to them to give them the opportunity to
contribute.
Thank you for your contributions in advance, and just keep
on doing what you do so well - inspiring others.
Jan

Business ethics training rises dramatically
According to a recent survey by The
Institute of Business Ethics (IBE), 71% of companies
now train their employees in ethics, compared
with 47% in 2004.
This is the first time such training has been offered by
the majority of companies included in the survey.
The report also shows that only 13% of the organisations believe
ethics to be a subject for HR, while almost half see it as
a legal department matter.
Simon Webley, research director at the IBE said “Liaising with HR is critical
in getting the information companies need
on business ethics, exit
interviews and staff surveys – both handled by HR – are important
in getting a good indication of an organisation’s ethics.”
