How to get the most out of Trainers' Library
Some useful hints and tips!
As our members know, Trainers’ Library can be an invaluable resource, saving trainers an awful lot of time when developing material. Many of our subscribers have told us that, when faced with a “next week deadline”, they don’t know where the ideas would have come from without Trainers’ Library there as a friendly back up.

This is all very well, particularly if you’ve been with us for some time, but finding your way around a web site that you aren’t familiar with can seem time consuming and daunting.

Hopefully, the following pointers will help you get the most out of your Trainers’ Library membership, making life a lot easier.

  • When you first look around the web site, try to spend an hour or so finding your way around. It will save you time in the future.

  • Use the “information” buttons - clicking on these will give you a brief outline of what the modules are about.
  • Try to put a little time aside once a fortnight to have a look at the “latest additions” so you keep up to date with the new material.
  • CALL US- Your Customer Relationship Manager is here to help. We are always happy to put forward suggestions for material that would fit into your current project. This can be a great time saver.
  • Use the “my favourites” function. When you find a module, icebreaker or game that you’re likely to use again, click on the loveheart icon and it will save the item in “my favourites” so you don’t have to search for it next time.

  • Have a look in Trainers’ Market. We offer a great range of toys and props to add interest to your delivery - and Trainers’ Library members receive a 10% discount on everything we sell.
  • Involve your colleagues. There’s never been a better time to upgrade your membership. We are currently offering a 25% discount in the first year for corporate upgrades, and having your whole team able to access Trainers’ Library won’t just help them, it means you have people to bounce ideas around with too. It will also help your organisation’s training be more uniform.
  • Trainers’ Talk can be great for ideas bouncing too!

Training Journal Awards

Well done Suzanne Lowe
Glasstap is proud to have once again sponsored an award at the Training Journal Awards.

We sponsored the Best Commercial Initiative for under 1000 Employees, which was won by Suzanne Lowe of Picture Financial, a secured personal loan provider that has seen enormous growth in the extremely competitive area of financial services.

Congratulations to Suzanne who also won the Special Achievement Award.

A Note from the Editor
Hi Trainers' Library members. My name is Charity Reed and many of you may know me as your Customer Relationship Manager.

I was recently asked to take over as editor of the Glasstap newsletter, a job that I was really pleased to accept as I've always fancied myself as a writer (although you may disagree)!

I will endeavour to entertain and inform in my own way but I would be most grateful for any ideas about subjects you would like to see in the newsletter - if I find I'm running short of things to write about I may have to end up publishing my poetry so I implore you to get in touch and spare yourselves that.

As we said in the last newsletter, we will be at the World of Learning Awards again this year, held at Birmingham's NEC. Why not come along and visit our stand.

It's stand no: C180.
