Hi Laura I have delivered a writing for business module for students doing the ILM module of the same name. I used a lot of the exercises in the 'Writing for Business' work book published by Elsevier and also adapted some to fit my client group. There are lots of grammar exercises in it, I've also used 'Wrong Standard', the Glasstap module as part of the programme-- very useful. Hope this helps and good luck Virginia Jordan |

Hi Laura,
I have written a Written Communication skills session, with comprehensive workbook (which works well as a stand alone manual) and includes grammer, punctuation, planning a letter etc. Please email me on; [email protected] and I can send to you.

Hi Laura
We ran a letter writing course earlier in the year, which re-visited some basic English Grammar. We found 'English Grammar for Dummies'useful. Typically, just after we'd finished writing the course material, we were sent an email from Sindall Jackson offering us a free copy of their 'Proofamatics guide to grammar, punctuation, spelling and capitalization'. This is a very easy to follow guide on the basics. If you want the email address so you can ask for your own copy, email me at [email protected].
Kind regards Michelle |

Hi
I would also recommend the Plain English Campaign material. A few years ago we delivered Plain English in house. The support provided was very good. I attended the train the trainer event and then used the training material they produced to deliver Plain English training. Hope this helps, Anna |

Hi Laura
When I was designing a 'back to basics' course I found a GCSE English Grammar revision book very helpful for ideas!

Hi Laura
Trainers' Library has a couple of exercises you may find useful "Wrong Standard" "Wrong Message, Poorly Written" - I've used both in training sessions to good effect.
Also try the Plain English Campaign website - a very useful website!
