Remote delivery has enabled me to connect with more customers around the world, run more workshops with the same investment in time, reduce costs for our customers and gain great new ideas for Trainers’ Library content. That’s a lot of reasons to like remote delivery!
We’ve had such a great response to our virtual events over the last 12 months that we decided I should do more, with a combination of regular events, and special one-off workshops for professional trainers.
And, for flexibility, and to emphasise that, for good or for bad, what you’re getting is me, I’m doing this under a new banner/micro business:
Rod Webb Creative Training.
These low-cost events will enable you to:
- Experience, and gain 12 month’s access to some of the unique training materials available in Trainers’ Library.
- Develop your skillset when it comes to engaging learners with challenging topics.
- Learn new skills you can apply in your day-to-day roll.
- Bounce ideas off and learn from other Learning and Development professionals.
Although open to everyone, Trainers’ Library members will, of course, get special treatment. From now on, all members will benefit from a 50% discount on tickets to any events I run. (Of course, you’ll still benefit from any free places included in your membership too.)
You can see the events we’ve already scheduled
here, which include the existing Creative Training Essentials and Discovery Days. My new events include:
I want to help trainers engage on a deeper level with learners and avoid the sort of tick-box training that does no more than tell people how they must behave. I believe the secret to real and lasting change comes from empathy, and that requires real conversations, new understanding and, sometimes, a shift in beliefs.

Let’s face it, it’s been a tough year for everyone, and not least trainers. Our role can sometimes feel lonely and exposed. In this session, I’ll focus on your needs and introduce you to techniques that will help you strengthen your resilience. But the lessons you learn and the materials we use will be equally relevant to those you are training back in the workplace.

Stories have power. They enable us to sell an idea or vision and emotionally engage our audience. They can bring statistics to life and bring dry topics to life. And they can make a real difference in training. In this workshop, I’ll show you how to can use stories to engage, influence and challenge your learners, and how to structure your stories for impact.

The BIG Reveal: Calling Self-Employed Trainers!
So that’s that, except now I’ll let you in on a secret: I’m being used as a guinea pig. Our big idea is to give Self-Employed members the ability to promote their own open learning events on Trainers’ Library.
It’s another way we can bring our self-employed customers together with our corporate customers and my hope is that we’ll have a real variety of programmes available for our customer’s learners. As you’d expect, there’ll be no additional costs for this to self-employed trainers, or those buying places on their courses.
What I really need to know is, if you’re self-employed trainer, is this something you’d like to be able to do? And if you buy training, would you be interested in seeing what open events our members can offer?
