I recently discovered the trainer’s notes and story for Witches of Glum being offered as a free sample on another website. Now, for clarification, I should point out that whilst we do provide this activity as a free sample, we do so on the basis it can only be used by trainers delivering live training in the classroom or virtually.
So, you can imagine I was a bit annoyed to find someone using it to market their own library of trainers’ resources.
I’m not going to name names because the individual concerned apologised and removed our material from their website.
They claimed not to have known it came from us. Fair enough, but they must certainly did know it didn’t come from them.
And this, I’ve realised, has highlighted one of Trainers’ Library’s strengths; originality.
When we create training materials, we do so from a blank piece of paper, using a creative training process I’ve been refining for 20 years. That’s why you will never find Island of Opportunity, Jack Fruggle’s Treasure, Police Chase or indeed any of our huge range of learning activities on any other website. (At least, not legally.)
Of course, there are times when we collaborate with others; we’re not insular. There have, for example, been those times when people on my workshops have generated brilliant ideas that I’ve gone on to develop with them. Restaurant Revolution and Doctor in the House are two, and you’ll see we’ve given full credit to those involved.
Original material isn’t the only thing that makes Trainers’ Library special though. Did you know, for example, that in addition to the huge library of unique training materials for face-to-face and remote delivery, Trainers’ Library includes:
• Course Builder as well as the ability to create personal folders of your favourite content?
• If you have a Pro or Enterprise membership, access to our library or e-learning content?
Of course, originality is only half the story. The other half is the customer service provided by my brilliant team, which generates comments like these:
"Great training support material and excellent customer service."
"We are very impressed by the amount of resources available and the phenomenal customer service we have experienced..."
“Glasstap have done absolutely amazing in reaction to the current climate, credit to you all.”
"I just wanted to write a big thank you to you for your amazing efforts of getting us trainers and facilitators off to an as good start as possible in this Pandemic first quarter. It’s been really inspiring to follow your work and be able to tap into it when needed. My Glasstap subscription is well worth the money, and I keep promoting you whenever I get a chance. Thanks team, you are simply great!”
Until next time...
