Seeking Training/Networking Venues

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback on our plans for Members' Networking Events in 2019. As 100% of respondents have been in favour of the idea, I'm delighted to confirm that we are going to trial these, and I'm now looking for suitable venues. As we're trying to keep the costs of these events to a minimum, we're looking for low-cost (but nice) venues; these should be very accessible and/or convenient to public transport. Initially, we're looking for venues in the Midlands, the North and in London but we're open to other suggestions.

If customers have training facilities they'd be willing to let us use in exchange for free places on these events, please do get in touch too. :-)

All the best,

Rod

p.s., If anyone is interested in hosting a learning session at our new networking events, please let me know.

Hi Rod,

You would be welcome at Edge Hill University! We would be happy to host an event for you. Good train and motorway access here along easy access to parking that we can book for delegates with enough notice.

Drop me an email or give me a call if you are interested?

We also could host here at the Trust in Cheadle Hulme, not far from Manchester Airport (depending on numbers, day and times), we would be able to provide refreshments, the room I have would hold about 20 people.

Hi - might be able to arrange for us to host a networking event at Birmingham City University at our city centre campus by Millennium Point. Refreshments would not be included but we do have catering on site that can supply. Easy reach from train stations, bus routes and car parks! :)

Hi I am sure we would be able to help. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council Town Hall has a variety of rooms available for meetings/training etc. We are very central and have close links to train station, bus station and good motorway links too. Car parking isn't free but being as we are in the town centre, there are many car parks nearby. We dont provide in-house catering although we can provide refreshments. Hope that helps.

Hi Rod and all the team We would always recommend the Kettering Park Hotel, which is great for access as just off a junction of the A14. We would be happy to host one in our new training room here in Corby but realistically it will only hold 12. Also happy to host a learning session :-)

Thank you to everyone who's responded so far to our request for venues for our new networking events. Keep them coming! (At the moment, Coventry looks like a particularly good option for one venue, as it's easily accessible for a large number of members.)

I'd heartily recommend Warwick Conferences - part of the University of Warwick in Coventry. Spectacular value for money, given the delicious food and refreshments and good facilities. Close to M40/M42 and Birmingham airport, and Coventry is on the main line from Euston.

Hi You could come to South Norfolk as our Council chamber holds up to 50 people. There is free car parking and there's an on site staff restaurant - public transport is problematic though. Just a thought Jeannette

Rod, We are in Aberdeen and could host a session in our office (probably seat about 20). I would also been keen to facilitate a session to get things moving. Regards, Pauline Weddell
