Icebreaker on Resistance or overcoming obstacles

I am running an offsite for a group of Engineers on Monday, and we're looking at their vision and strategy for the year, and the amount of change that needs to happen. i thought it might be good to do a fun icebreaker with a message around resistance, that we can reference later in the day. Either that or something around overcoming obstacles. I read a study the other day about the power of bringing metaphors to life in terms of helping the creative thinking process, so thought this might be an interesting approach.
Thank you!
Sinead

Sinead...have you ever come across SquareWheels? Google it and you'll find out more. It's not an icebreaker as such but certainly a good starter when thinking about resistance and overcoming obstacles.
You simply present the SquareWheels picture and people quickly start seeing the messages in the image. You'll be identifying squarewheels for the rest of the day...as well as seeing all the tyres inside the wagon. You'll get the idea when you see the picture.

The concept is copyrighted but you are free to use it provided you keep the acknowledgement. Or this was certainly the case when I last checked.

Hope this proves useful
