English for retail

Can anyone recommend a course book that focuses on retail and customer service? I have 150 sales assistants who desperately need English training for this specific purpose.
Many thanks.

Hi Frances

In my experience the most effective route is to work with a writer to produce a tailored self-study pack which you can put on-line for your people.

Back in the days before the internet we used to produce these for our retail clients with taped sound so staff could 'speak along'. Thankfully, these days it's simpler and more effective to do this on-line. By taking this route it means you can get a package which is absolutely tailored to what your staff really need to know and are likely to be questioned about.

Hi Frances,
While I have no personal experience of them, I do know that International House is a huge worldwide language school. I'm pretty sure they do online language training so it may be worth a look, http://ihworld.com or for the Doha school, http://ihworld.com/school/profile/ih_doha1
Hope this helps,
Zoe
