Alternative Evaluation

Hi
Historically we have used the Kirkpatrick model of evaluation - happy sheet at the end of the event, followed by a conversation between the Manager and Delegate when they go back to the team then at 3 months a further evaluation to look at business impact and return on investment. Unfortunatley, we seem to struggle with the management conversations and 3 monthly returns. We are looking to introduce a new way of evaluation that will hopefully give us a better return and more useful information. Does anyone do anything a little more cutting edge? Thank you, Leanne Stanfield

For all you lovely people who asked for information, hopefully you should have all received it by now. Please let me know if I missed anyone as it was quite a long list.

Thanks again

Hi Leanne,

I have come across a company called Ask Your Staff. They develop specific surveys tailor made to your organisation. If you call Tom Parry on 07885 888085 and mention my name I'm sure he will be happy to talk you through what they do on greater detail.

Survey Monkey is a great and easy tool to use. Apologies if it seems and obvious thing to say but as a tip, think carefully about the how your audience will interpret the questions you ask - I've seen surveys fail to deliver a few times where the respondents answered what they understood, not what was asked! You don't want to be in that "If only we'd asked...." position.

Hi Leanne, We too use Survey Monkey, it is quick, easy to complete so encourages a good response rate and allows for you to download reports to highlight any trends. You can purchase one licence and use it to create multiple surveys so can also work out quite cost effective. Thanks Stacey

Hi - thank for all the requests for info on Workplace Behaviours & Evaluation that I have received today.

I am away doing training till Thursday so I will happily email the info to everyone when I am back home; I don't want anyone to feel I have forgotten them.

Thanks for the interest, it was lovely to hear from you all.

Hi Leanne
Have you considered using something like 'Survey Monkey' to get things going. You can place your own questions and make them relevant to and your aims.

Hi Leanne

One of my pet subjects this. I find to be effective you need to incorporate workplace behaviours in the design process & then evaluation becomes clearer.

Email me if you want some ideas [email protected]
