Hi all

I have been asked to facilitate a series of half day workshops across the Uk on Saturdays/Sundays. I have never been asked to do work at the weekends before and I was wondering if anyone has a different rate they would use for weekend work? Any thoughts would be helpful.

It's for a Healthcare Professional body and the sessions will be with 100-150 participants at each event!

Many thanks.

Fiona

Many thanks for your responses, they were very helpful. I have submitted a rate to the client and am now waiting to hear back!

Best wishes

Hi Fiona

Depends what your normal rate is per day. typically if you charge £750.00-£1000 per day then you would add 10% extra for weekend work if it is less than £750.00 per day then you could charge up to 25% extra per day.

I hope that helps

Hello Fiona

I rarely work weekens, but when I do I charge the same fee, however I;ve just seen a discussion about this topic on the CIPD Members Linked In group (see http://www.linkedin.com/groupItem?view=&gid=106184&type=member&item=90903706&qid=e3396f0e-9096-4fcb-9545-66fd2f65c0d7&trk=group_most_popular-0-b-ttl&goback=%2Egmp_106184 if you;re a member)

The responses in the discussion range from charging the same to charging an extra 50% (a bit extreme in my view)

Best wishes
