Hi, all- has anybody got any ideas on how to make fire training more interactive and exciting to maximise participants' understanding? At the moment it's more a matter of PowerPoint or DVD- trainer talks, workforce listens (or not).
I look forward to any ideas or suggestions.

We don't use real fires but we purchase fire extinguishers (and get them refilled as needed) and let delegates have a practice with them -its this bit they all enjoy. Elaine

We are just about to run 2 courses on wednesday with an external company who are going to create a real fire for the delegates to put out. They are ex fire staff and the course is fairly cost effective. I can let you know how it went after the event if you are interested and have budget - 30 people in 2 sessions of 3 hours for £525.
