The aim of this course is: To encourage more positive and productive team working in the workplace. By the end of the course, participants will: 1) Know more about their colleagues. 2) Be able to describe what makes a high performing team. 3) Understand the importance of playing to different strengths and skills. 4) Recognise the need for clear and effective communication. 5) Have taken part in teambuilding activities to enhance their team’s performance. This course is suitable for: All teams but in particular newly formed teams. Time: This course will take 7 hours to deliver (excluding breaks). Requirements: Some of the exercises in this course need a little preparation and as a minimum you'll need the following additional items: 1) A tennis ball. 2) If including Welsh Holiday in the course, you'll also need two OS Landranger Maps - available from Trainers' Market. This course does require plenty of space and, in particular, you’ll need space to allow the group to be split into smaller groups for the various activities. If you are not using a large conference room where groups can work at opposite ends of the room without being overheard or disturbing each other, you will need separate syndicate rooms to get the best out of the day. Some of the exercises used in this course work really well outside, if space permits.

I ran Creative Problem Solving last week for my team leaders. I had already ran it in the past however, I found the course outline that you provided for problem solving very useful as a check list and as a comparison to what you had in yours and what I already had in my session plan. I think that is a great way for people who have not ran a course on a subject before to use as it is all there. Timings and everything. I did decide to use a few of the activities recommended including the hoola hoops as an energiser with the Loop the Hoop challenge which the group loved.
