I need to write a policy on educational/development support which explains when, how and why we would contribute towards the payment of further education/e-learning access etc. Would anyone have a similar document that you are willing to share? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Hi Liz,

We have a loyalty agreement for all regulatory training over £500 and for all non-regulatory training. We pay all course fees, book fees (up to £150) and one sitting of an exam. We allow up to 5 days of study leave, and up to 0.5 days for an exam, though employees can take study leave within the workplace as we have suitable facilities. We have claw-back arrangements in place where employees leave within 2 years of attaining the qualification.

I hope that gives you a comparison point.

Regards,
Sara

Hi Liz

I may be able to help in that I have written our L&D policy and further to the legislative changes of April this year updated it to reflect support and when we will and wont give it and if we dont why we dont and appeals etc, It also contains how we support for education and inparticular degree programs and sign off levels etc and what is required to ask for such support.
I am happy to email this to you if you think it would help.
If you require a copy please come and find me on LinkedIn and I will send it through that site.

Rgds
Mike
