Hold the Front Page! - Teamwork Under Pressure is a fun and fast-paced activity that can be used to test many different behaviours.
In this challenging exercise, teams work as editors of a regional newspaper in competition with the established Fumberland News. The participants’ job is to sift through the news items as they come in, write the stories, as well as plan and create their front page.
They must:
- Quickly assimilate and share information.
- Prioritise the news stories they receive.
- Identify which stories are most relevant to their readership.
- Extract the key points from each story.
- Plan which stories to place where on their front page.
- Conserve space by writing clearly and concisely.
- Manage changing priorities as new stories come in.
- Create a mock-up of their front page.
Like all of our Team Building Games, this activity tests a wide variety of skills and behaviours including project management, time management, teamwork under pressure, quality control and accuracy, leadership, creativity and effective writing.
Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and exclusively available to Trainers' Library members with a Classic or Complete membership.
Although the event is free to attend, please note that due to the demand and the limited spaces available, there will be a cancellation fee of £95.00 in the event of a no show, or cancellation within one month of the event if we are unable to refill your place. This helps ensure tickets are allocated fairly and used.
