Ask the Experts - How to Apply Learning

Time:
In total we estimate this exercise will take 50 minutes.

Aims:
• To encourage participants to review their key learning points from the training.
• To provide participants with tips for ways to apply what they've learnt back in the workplace.

Group Size:
Suitable for use with groups of up to 15 participants.

You'll Need:
• A camera or smartphone to video the interviews.
• A clock, stopwatch or timer.

Notes:
There are two ways to run this activity. For longer courses (a full day or longer) we recommend using the full version of the activity. For shorter training sessions, miss out Stage 2 and/or Stage 3.

This activity is particularly suited to reviewing learning around Project Management but can be easily adapted to almost any training.

• To explore the core skills of effective remote/project teams.
• To identify what skills are needed for a team to work together when not physically in the same location.

This exercise will take about 20 minutes to complete. In total, allowing for discussion, we recommend allowing 30 minutes for completion.

Aims:
• To explore the core skills of effective remote/project teams.
• To identify what skills are needed for a team to work together when not physically in the same location.

Group Size:
This module can be used with groups of 6 or more participants.

You'll Need:
• 1 set of Sorting Out Shape Cards per 3 participants and envelopes to put the cards in.
• Everyone needs to use a mobile phone during the exercise.
• A stopwatch.
• 2 break out spaces are required for this exercise to be effective.

New: Filing Frenzy Game Packs are available - Each pack contains 10 sets of the shape cards used in this activity).

Notes:
You may wish to let your participants know in advance that they will need to bring their mobile phones with them.
