About

Important - Please read before downloading!
We’re currently updating our complete courses. Where the number of downloads shown to the right is greater than one, it means that the course is in the new format and the combined trainer’s notes for the entire course can be downloaded as one file. When you download this file the number tells you how many downloads will be used from your allowance (if you have one).

Time:
Including breaks, this workshop will take a total of 7 hours to run.

Aims:
• To enable participants to define assertiveness and identify its main characteristics.
• To build an understanding of the importance of assertive behaviour on ourselves and others.
• To encourage participants to reflect upon their current levels of assertiveness and practice techniques to enable them to improve their assertive behaviour in the workplace.
• To encourage participants to realise the frequency of negative thoughts and the impact of their ‘inner dialogue’.
• To help participants develop guidelines for dealing assertively with aggressive behaviour.
• To give participants greater confidence in making and refusing requests.

Group Size:
This workshop has been designed to work best with groups of 12-15 participants.

Useful For:
Staff up to supervisor/junior manager level.

• A length of rope big enough for all participants to hold as they stand in a circle.
