Time:
Including breaks, this workshop will take a total of 3.5 hours to run.

Aim:
• List common barriers to change and explain why change is often resisted.
• Describe the change curve and strategies that might make the journey through it easier.
• Explain the impact of attitude and behaviour on yourself and others when going through change.
• Describe the differences and impact of an optimistic and pessimistic outlook.
• Suggest ways of handling negativity in a team.
• Define personal resilience and its characteristics.

Group Size:
This workshop has been designed to work best with groups of 12-15 participants.

Useful For:
Staff at all levels.

You'll Need:
In addition to the support materials (handout/briefs, PowerPoint, etc.) you will need:
• A flipchart or two.
• Colourful pens and post-it notes.
• A selection of bells or buzzers, one for every 2-3 participants.
• A piece of string or rope that is approximately 4 metres long.
• Each of the Change Curve Cards printed on A4 or A3 paper.
• A rubber balls for each participant that, ideally, they can keep.
• 2 cardboard stars or star-shaped post-it notes for each participant. (Blu tack will also be needed if you use the cardboard stars.)
• A small prize or two (optional).

Notes:
Please note that all timings in the following agenda are approximate. You may need to allow more or less time depending on the needs of your participants.
