Hi Liam I would be really interested in talking to you further - I do have significant experience in delivering management and leadership training. I am CIPD qualified (PG Diploma in Training/L&D & MSc)as well as being accredited in a range of psychometric tools/360 and a qualified coach (Post graduate qualification & International Coaching Federation member) I currently run leadership and management development programmes for several clients ranging from one off interventions to year long programmes supported by coaching. Like you I am a one man band and look to form partnerships to ensure the best service for the customer on larger pieces of work. If you are interested please pass me your email address I will send you through my CV and certificates later today as well as my phone number and you can contact me for an initial chat if you are interested in exploring things further. Either way - best of luck - its always exciting when you get a big opportunity. Best regards Sara |

Hi Liam, I am slightly amused by the requirement by your potential client to hold the CIPD L and D Practice level 3 qualification I teach on the programme having developed all the classroom materials and supporting online back up at the CIPD Centre in Swindon. The qualification has changed substantially in lst two years. I wonder which one they want you to have. Also worth noting the qualification is made up of some core modules and then additional ones from a wide menu so for example one holder of this qualifcation may have covered digital learning methods, another organising events. And of course those holding this qualification will probably only be Assoc memebers of CIPD. To become Chartered you need higher level qualifications and practical experience. Are they really looking for deliverers who can develop themselves as a L and D professional; know how to record a training plan; carry out a TNA, design an event; deliver such an event and evaluate the results? I would want far more than that in any trainer I would be employing to deliver to a senior Leadership programme. Worth arguing on basis of your delivery agents wealth of experience of working with high level and senior people. Don't however lose sight of being 'just' a small provider. I bet you could provide a much better 'hands on' service to a company than the very large cumbersome training provider/consultancy. Good luck Charlotte Mannion Chartered FCIPD |
