Good morning everyone,

I would like some advise if you can help; we have been doing PDPs for the past three years and all employees recognize the benefits of having these in place. My question now is: strategy for PDPs, what's next for both managers and non-managers? If you have implemented a strategy or have any ideas on how to take PDPs to the next level, I would really appreciate your help.

Many thanks,

Paula

Hi Paula, always a dilemma to keep these alive, it was a challenge for me in a corporate role. In a consultancy role i do a lot of Time Management training and always ask people whether they prioritise their 'to do' lists with their objectives? The usual answer is ....doh?? I also deliver insights profiles and ask people whether they set themselves 'behavioural' objectives in their PDP's and again the answer is no. My opinion is that for something to live and breath it has to be visible and has to be talked about. Perhaps looking at when, where and how often PDP's are visible between manager and staff? It's everyones responsibility to set a cultural shift? Hope that helps?
