Hi there! Any thoughts on some interactive games/activities to use during a productivity/prioritisation session? It's only a 2 hour session. I get them to work through the Eisenhower prioritisation matrix. But other than that I feel like I'm just working through different tips and techniques so it's a bit dry! Many thanks! Debbie

Hi Debbie

Here are a few ideas in the library that I hope will help:

Time is Money - https://www.trainerslibrary.com/user_area/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=256&area=4
A great quick opener to the topic of prioritisation.

The Wedding Planner - https://www.trainerslibrary.com/user_area/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=97&area=2
This is a fun exercise which will give participants a chance to try out their new skills.

Interruptions and Other Time Stealers - https://www.trainerslibrary.com/user_area/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=96&area=2
This exercise helps participants to identify situations they have to deal with at work that cause them issues with time management.

The Wheel - https://www.trainerslibrary.com/user_area/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=2&area=2
This is a bit of a left field suggestion, but could actually be quite a memorable exercise. The debrief will need to be tweaked, but it will be a great way to start exploring unhelpful behaviours that get in the way of good time management. I am happy to discuss with you how it will work, if it helps.

Finally, we have a couple of time management based exercises going through our editing process at the moment. You'll be able to spot them in the Whats New section once they go on line.

I hope that this helps.

All the best

Frances

Hi Debbie I have a fun energizer that I use to wake everyone up. Ask pairs to stand up and face each other and count 1,2,3 speaking out loud between them (i.e. you say one, your partner says 2, you say 3, they say 1 and so on), keep going for a few seconds until they have got it right. Then ask them to replace 2 with a clap of the hands, do this for a few seconds, there is normally lots of laughter as it is not as easy as it seems. Then once they have got that right ask them to replace 3 with a nod of the head, still keeping in the clap of the hands for 2. You can judge the timing, a couple of minutes is enough. It is a great leveller and gets concentration going. I also use the Priority matrix which I found in the trainers library using Impact and effort Kate
