The Cost of Negative Thinking
This module is expected to last for
15 minutes
Aims: • To identify the frequency of negative thoughts in our ‘inner dialogue’ and understand the impact these have on performance. • To recognise situations or circumstances that might trigger anxieties and negative thoughts.
Notes
Explain that on the subject of assertive behaviour, we need to realise that sometimes we are our own worst enemy. Sometimes the doubt and anxiety we have comes from within us.
This simple activity will help us notice when this happens today – and therefore what we might choose to do about it going forward.
