Passengers - A Change Journey
This module is expected to last for
60 minutes
Aims: • To help participants consider the extent to which they engage in change. • To help those involved in change consider how they could make the change journey easier for themselves, and others. • To help those involved in a change plan.
Notes
Use this module to illustrate that where you 'sit' in relation to the change will impact how you feel about it, and to show how we can help others who are in one of the other 'seats' feel more comfortable to embrace change.
At the end of the module, ask participants to take 5 minutes to think about a change they are going through or one they need to make, and start planning how to embrace this, based on what has been covered so far. There is space in the combined handouts file for them to do this.

Bouncing Back – The Nature of Resilience
This module is expected to last for
20 minutes
Aims: • To define the term 'personal resilience'. • To explore some of the characteristics of resilience. • To list some elements that help create resilience.
Notes
At the end of this activity, remind participants of the positive speaking challenge that has been running throughout the training and link it to the exercise they have just completed on resilience.
Refer to the Bingo Card and congratulate everyone on using so many positive words before debriefing that activity.

Half Full? - Optimism and its Importance
This module is expected to last for
30 minutes
Aims: • To encourage participants to consider their attitude. • To encourage discussion around optimistic versus pessimistic outlooks. • To recognise the impact that attitude has on performance. • To enable participants to identify personal traits that might be holding them back. • To encourage leaders to consider how they might deal with negative attitudes in their team.
Notes
You can link this activity to the previous session.
After this module, allow participants 10 minutes or so to add ideas to their action plans, which will help them be ready to embrace the change they identified earlier.
