Hi, I am just starting out on my own running management programmes as well as clinical programmes. Can anyone advise me on a fair daily rate either if you are self employed or what you would expect to pay and external vendor if you work for an organisation please. I would welcome you thoughts, thank you.

I am similar to Andrew. One of my associate clients charges me out at £5k (I get £600 which I have came to accept as I signed up for it). Others tend to charge me out at £2k.

I charge my clients in Scotland in the region of £1400 which is what I paid suppliers when I was the one holding the purse strings. However it is said it's not about the cost and more about the value you bring.

Location, industry and value play a massive part in what you charge and how you present it.

I know large training companies can charge as much as £3,000 to £4,000 per day,. But the ones I subcontract for, that charge me out at that rate, are all in the Investment Banking world - which pays a premium. Most of the small self employed / one person corporations, charge between £1,000 and £2,000 per day. Half day rates at 2/3rds of that. Those rates include designing the materials, but if you are using Trainers Library, that helps. I've been running my own business since 2008, if you want any further advice, feel free to email me directly [email protected]
