The question was posted by Zoe on 11/01/2023 10:12:01

In 2023, we’re continuing with our pledge to donate 1% of our annual turnover to charity and so we're looking for a charity to support that does something special to help disadvantaged people achieve their full potential.

If you'd like to nominate a charity (and feel free to nominate your own) please let us know by responding to this post.

We'll be putting the shortlisted few to public vote in the next week or so.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you to everyone who's nominated a charity on here, or by email. We'll be shortlisting the many nominations we've received on Monday and putting the shortlist to public vote.

I would really like to nominate Inverclyde Community Development Trust who provide a range of vital services to the local community: - Employability services for school leavers, unemployed and long term unemployed and clients who earn 20k or less looking to up-skill or retrain for a better job - Pail work placements to gain valuable work experience - Accredited training centre offering free training to our clients to up-skill and become more employable - Befriending services to those vulnerable and lonely - Volunteer Services and Support - helping clients find valuable work experience opportunities - The Pantry - which offers a discounted food store whereby clients pay £2.50 for £15 of goods (donated by fair trade and other organisations) we now have 2 pantries - Community Tracks - offering free recycling of bikes and provision of bikes to those that are needy We are extremely proud of what we do. More details can be found at: https://www.the-trust.org.uk/ Many thanks Best wishes Donna Bryson - Employability Services Manager

Hi Zoe. I think a charity that supports young people's mental health would be very worthwhile at the moment e.g. Young Minds https://www.youngminds.org.uk/
