Hi all, our SLT are going away for two days. On day one they are learning about systems leadership and then we will cover company culture (as we have a problem with silos). On day two, we are looking at our 2026 business strategy. I'd like to deliver an activity that is relevant but fun and bring people together. Does anyone have any suggestions from the library please?

Hi Gemma,

Four activities that immediately spring to mind:
Bus Stop! https://www.trainerslibrary.com/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=2174
Department Game: https://www.trainerslibrary.com/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=546
Island of Opportunity: https://www.trainerslibrary.com/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=74
The Wheel: https://www.trainerslibrary.com/materials/training_doc_details.aspx?doc=2

However, you've not said how many participants you have or how long you've got. If none of these are right and you'd like further suggestions from the library, pop a question in Design Coach as that will give me a lot more to go on.

Hi Gemma, sounds like a juicy couple of days! Just so we're clear, are you looking for ideas to address the silo working? Or is strategy the key thing - or a mix of both? Journey Mapping could be good so that you can map out a process and see where the silos are settling in, before working on how to get the team more connected and working together. Then you could do something like a Sailboat exercise for the strategy piece? If you would like to discuss with someone in more detail, please feel free to email me - I've done quite a bit of this sort of thing before and could share some ideas with you if you'd like?
